Midsummer in Åland

Many people go to the village midsummer pole to decorate the pole with greenery and flowers and raise it in the company of others from the village and summer guests.

From Käringsund Resort & Conference it is only just over 2km to Storby midsummer pole which is Åland's highest midsummer pole (28.3m) and is usually raised at 15.00 in the Friday afternoon.
